Have been coming here upon recommendation of a friend since 2018 with Dr. Schultze who’s really great. Haven’t needed to take any of our cats there since 2019 when we got a new one.
Took my parent there recently for their older cat due to a major change in health. Scheduled the soonest appt and wasn’t sure which Dr it would be. Ended up seeing Dr. Major. She was very vivid with her explanations of things and would go on and on. It seemed as though she got tired of talking towards the end of the appt, answered a few questions and if you asked again to clarify you get a “I’m not going to explain again”… although she gave my parent a hug due to the circumstance of their cat before she left.
Then had to take my parent’s cat in again for a follow up and so much thanks to Katy and the girls up front for working with us and our schedules to ensure due to the situation - we could get the help we needed. We appreciate it SO much. Also Dr. Schultze for giving a call we requested when he could, the day after the appt when Dr. Major was out, when we noticed change in behavior since the initial visit.
Took my parent’s cat in to follow up due to this and saw Dr. Doogle. She explained things SO much better, got straight to the point and some things she noted from Dr. Major’s notes, Dr. Major in the appt verbally said wasn’t detected with the cat although her notes say otherwise… really strange. Also that the cat’s test results weren’t as severe as Dr. Major ruled them out to be. We appreciate Dr. Doogle also for taking the time to help see us before the weekend.
I know Dr. Major has probably been in the business for a very long time and she can be sweet, also seems like a cat lady herself but she rubbed us the wrong way in the appt overall and now I’m puzzled as to why she said she ruled out certain things but her notes didn’t say so then made the test results to seem more than they actually were.
Will be trying our best to schedule with Dr. Schultze or Dr. Doogle in the future.
Thank you guys! Also, it’s always a joy to see the office cat and makes us feel better when going in. Even if our cats feel differently hehe.
